In all fairness, its not fun because its too realistic. One shot your dead. No cool markers or brightly lit names above your head, so ff is out of hand. Any blast that is close enought to wound usually kills. Noone wants to play a game where one mistaken grenade, or misfire puts you out for what can be up to a 15 min wait. Sure it was developed by the Army as a recruitmant tool, and true, in life thats all you get is that one shot or near miss. Its just not fun because there is too much thinking involved. Your stuck with a gun you dont want or a class you can't use, and most of the time your killed from some where unkown to you. There are not funny catch frases, no powerups or upgrades. Sure there may be an acheivement or two but it ususally involves some impossible challange or listening to an instructor. Well I don't know about you guys, but if I wanted to sit in class and listen to an Army instructor I would have joined. Maybe if the movement wasn't as slow it would make for a faster game, but it can take all of 10 mins to run from one side to the other.... Come on now, who really wants to wait for that. How about special forces that can pick any gun they want? How about an acheivement system that gives awards for stupid stuff like in TF2. Or how about giving it a working vehicle arsenal. All things that make the other games we play more fun. I can't stand the fact that if I get in and play I run the risk of being kicked because I chose to snipe a guy at 700 yards, and couldn't tell for sure if he had a backpack on or not. (No comments about being kicked Drizzt) They should just call it War simulator X or something, that would be a more accurate name, since thats all it is, is a war simulator.
