I just got a new router so I may have a Linksys WRT54G I may not need anymore I could let you have for cheap if you want. I believe its version 2. I was gonna just throw DDRWRT or Tomato on it and use it as an access point upstairs but will probably go all N.

I am using the WRT54G at home and here, they work great. I have installed 3 of the Asus routers at a church and for the past 4 months no problems. Although the signal might not be as strong as the Linksys, but I don't have one on their site to compare.

If you want, Borsch could send the router to me and I will upgrade it for ya if you want. Unless you want to give it a whirl. Not hard, but can be frustrating on the Linksys. I thought I bricked 1 but they can be recovered with some effort.

That would be even better. I think the firmeware on my dlink is what caused my signal degredation, it used to be high.

Cool thx. Oh and get with me one night and I can help you sort out your ventrilo problems. Josh if your gonna flash it with DD-WRT, just set it up as a normal router. I may want to put it in place of my dlink just to test it out. I can always reconfigure it later as an Ap later if I want. I still have not figured out exactly what I want to do.
